The Amgen Scholars Program provides young scientists across the globe access and opportunity through cutting-edge research experiences and exposure to biotechnology and drug discovery through a 12-year, $50 million commitment from the Amgen Foundation. Today, the Amgen Foundation partners with 17 of the world’s premier educational institutions across the U.S., Japan and Europe to provide hundreds of undergraduate students an opportunity to conduct research in a lab environment. Since 2006, the Amgen Scholars Program has provided these engaging hands-on opportunities for over 3,100 undergraduates from across the globe. Ninety-five percent of the program’s alumni who have completed their undergraduate studies are pursuing an advanced degree or career in a scientific field.
